Later this month, I am hosting the fundraising event Women with Dreams – a high tea to raise funds to support young women in Malawi to follow their dreams to entrepreneurship. The idea behind Women with Dreams is to connect with women from all walks of life to encourage and support each other to go after our dreams. Whether these dreams are in business or your personal life, we need to boost each other to succeed. We need to support each other to break away from the roles society thinks we should be filling and stand strong and tall in our abilities to do what we love.

So far, we have received a massive amount of support from local businesses owned and run by women. The event will take place at the gorgeous Beach Shak Cafe in Beachmere (run by the lovely Amanda). Our inspiring guest speakers are the Mumma on a mission Melanie Brandt from Bossmummapreneur and author and pilot Prue Mason. And then there are the amazing prizes donated from local businesses…

Who are we raising money for?

Blessing in Disguise is an Australian based organisation that works with young orphaned women in Malawi. Women are supported to complete skills based training so that they can set up their own business in their community or join Blessing In Disguise’s established business, Grace Pads. Grace pads make sanitary pads and distribute them to girls in need in Malawi so that no girl has to miss out on school because of her period. Their goal is to see as many girls and women completing education and having the opportunity to create the businesses, and life, of their dreams.
They are currently looking to expand into other skills based training projects for women, particularly IT and business.

Tickets to this event are limited, so click here to secure your spot. Raffle tickets can be purchased online (and you do not have to attend the event to go in the raffle). Email me to find out more about being involved or to purchase raffle tickets. And let’s support women to live their dream life!
